Graduated Licensing Program
The GLP Gold Package has the same amount of classroom hours as the Platinum package, but fewer in-car hours. It is designed for new drivers who wish to receive as many skills as possible in preparation for life long driving, but who also will be completing many practice hours with their Co-Drivers. Read below for full details.
The Graduated License Program (GLP) is accredited by ICBC and allows participating students to take the test to graduate to their Class 5 license 6-months earlier than non-GLP students, poviding that they drive prohibition and accident free during their Class 7N phase. The GLP also provides two grade 11 credits to participating students.
Please remember to leave ample time for lessons and a Road Test. In the spring and summer months, we regularly book a minimum of one month in advance.
You will need to specify a classroom session when registering. Lessons are 1 hour in length unless otherwise specified. Road Tests (RT) lessons are two hours in length – a one hour warm up and use of car for test. If a student is not successful on their first ICBC Road Test attempt, all GLP Packages include one complimentary Warm-Up and the use of a PG Driving For Life car for a second test, OR a single one-hour refresher prior to a second test, schedule permitting. Prices are subject to change without notice. We will book the ICBC road test for you, but ICBC fees are the responsibility of the student and are not included in the cost of the package. Please read this ICBC Student Consent and Release Form which the student will be required to sign.

I have to thank Driving For Life for helping my wife get her N on the first try. They showed more patience and self-control than I ever could and now my wife’s driving skills have increased so much that even I feel totally relaxed driving with her haha. Thanks again guys, you helped us out so much.
Coming from a small town (Mackenzie), I was very nervous as a new driver in the city. Driving For Life Academy taught me the skills and gave me the experience to be able to drive in a city with confidence. The instructors are not only knowledgeable, they made me feel completely comfortable in the car. I would recommend Driving For Life Academy to anyone looking for a professional and personable approach to learning to drive.
When my first son was learning to drive I put as much time in the passenger seat as I could brave, but knew I needed to leave the finishing touches to a professional. It was noticeable after only a few lessons how much more relaxed they appeared – I marveled at their new self-talk indicating they knew what they were watching for. The custom lesson packages are brilliant for those of us who are unsure just how much our child requires. Respect and open feedback are provided not only to the student but to the parents as well. I too felt very included in regards to progress and readiness for the actual test. I appreciated so much that Driving For Life has a priority to remain engaged until success is achieved.
